Priory House - Christchurch
Priory House - Christchurch
Priory House is not an extension of Christchurch Priory as it may appear to be, but a separate building, built in 1763 for an early curator of the British Museum - Gustavus Brander. During the French Revolution a more famous occupant was Louis Philippe, King of France who lived here from 1807 during his first exile in England. The house is Grade II Listed.
