Abberton Drought
Abberton Drought
This photo was taken at the end of the long hot summer of 1989. There had been a succession of hot summers and dry winters. Abberton Reservoir was rapidly shrinking away. The bridge on the old Layer Breton Rd became visible for the first time in many years.
