Moorland Gully above Clowbridge Reservoir, Lancashire

The moorland here is mainly covered in grass and features occasional areas of tussocks. The relatively smooth lines of the hillsides are marked by occasional gullies, such as the one shown here. On this particular day, the gully was being used as the location of the start for an orienteering race. View taken looking SE, away from the reservoir.
