This road junction was dominated by a strange two-storey building, which I have just discovered was an electricity transformer station. Now that building has gone, replaced by the modest stone-faced building on the left. The crossroads has been widened a little and traffic lights installed. The triangular area contained nine buildings in 1908, but most of these had gone before these improvement works, and the area has been made into a car park. The building on the left, behind the sub-station, is the post office.
