SJ9033 : The Star Inn

taken 10 years ago, near to Stone, Staffordshire, Great Britain

The Star Inn
The Star Inn
An old canal inn by Stone bottom lock on the Trent and Mersey.
Various IA (industrial archaeology) books detail an old warehouse and basin that were off to the left on the other side of the Stafford Road Bridge. These have gone without trace. Indeed several items listed in W J Thompson's Industrial Archaeology of North Staffordshire have gone from Stone.
