TQ5100 : Old Course of Cuckmere River

taken 10 years ago, near to Westdean, East Sussex, Great Britain

Old Course of Cuckmere River
Old Course of Cuckmere River
The line of bushes on the eastern bank mark a former meander of the river whose embankments are still in existence. The other clue is that the boundary of two district councils also follows this line a sure sign of a former river course. Friston Forest is beyond whilst the gap in the towns is the small valley that houses Westdean.
