Bladeless Turbine Tower No 16

During the last week of November 2007 Turbine Tower No 16 was the very first tower to be constructed
but due to the high winds day after day at that time it was not possible to fit the blades
so a decision was made to move all the construction equipment on to tower 21.
For the 40 metre 8 ton blades to be lifted in position wind speeds need to be below 10mph
while all other tower sections can be lifted with wind speeds of up to 25mph.
The blades were fitted in March 2008
