NY7276 : Bridleway above Green Lee Cleugh

Bridleway above Green Lee Cleugh
Bridleway above Green Lee Cleugh
All too often footpaths and bridleways within our forests become overgrown or overplanted and lost forever, in favour of soul-less forestry haul roads. This bridleway which traverses Wark and Kielder Forests from the Roman Wall through to Falstone is an exception, in that it is kept reasonably well cleared and signposted. Here the bridleway passes above a steep little crag which drops down to Green Lee Cleugh (although one can only sense rather than see the drop through the trees).
