SP5004 : Isis floodplain

taken 10 years ago, near to South Hinksey, Oxfordshire, Great Britain

Isis floodplain
Isis floodplain
The northern half of the square is largely taken up with the floodplain of the Hinksey Stream, a braiding of the Isis (Thames). Despite the recent very wet weather it does not look very wet but would be very squelchy underfoot. Taken from a bridge over the A34 between South Hinksey and Hinksey golf club.
