Southampton Central Station.
Southampton Central Station.
On a bright sunny day in March 2005, a 4VEP (Vestibule Electro Pneumatic), Unit No.3536 waits for departure time. Apart from those held in warm storage for emergency use, none of these units remain in service today. Two similar looking units, known as 3CIG (Corridor Intermediate Gangway) units remain in service on the Lymington Branch.
