West from the King's seat to Balhomish and beyond
A superb February day at the top of the King's seat. This small peak reaches about 400 metres and is the high point of the Birnam woods - made famous by Shakespeare. From here you can choose to go down into Dunkeld, or continue in a loop that takes in Balhomish and Glen Garr. As always in the Scottish hills, make sure you have the clothes and equipment you need.
