The main channel of the Teign swings around mud banks as it approaches Teignmouth and Shaldon Bridge. Shaldon is beyond, with The Ness rising about the river mouth. In the foreground are the eastern outskirts of Bishopsteignton. Seen from the northern end of Bishopsteignton Footpath 7 which from here plummets down to Forder Lane.
