NZ0900 : Marske Beck

taken 10 years ago, near to Skelton, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Marske Beck
Marske Beck
Taken from Pillimire Bridge, which lies directly on the grid line according to the map. So this is a close call. On the far bank is a nineteenth century waterwheel, placed to generate the newly discovered electricity to Skelton Hall. But the scheme was abandoned and the wheel lies slowly rotting.
