Ornamental Gardens Belonging to Marske Hall
Built in 1836 when the Squire of Marske Hall gave land to allow the building of the new road connecting the village to the turnpike road along the Swale at Downholme Bridge. An old manorial cornmill was demolished to make roon for these gardens.
