Arches in an old bridge near South Cerney
Arches in an old bridge near South Cerney
This is a view through arches that pass through the main supports of the redundant road bridge over what was once the Midland and South Western Junction Railway. The purpose of these arches is unclear. They are about two metres high. The only reason I can think of is that the engineers calculated they could save a few bricks without compromising the integrity of the bridge.
