Pebbles on a grave
Pebbles on a grave
The grave of Harry Urban 'Physician, Indomitable Survivor of Shoah and Gulag', like many of the graves here, bears a collection of pebbles, sometimes scattered randomly, sometimes arranged in a pattern. It is a Jewish custom to leave stones rather than flowers as a mark of respect and affection. For explanation see LinkExternal link
