Anguish's Hospital (recently Lakenham First School)
Thomas Anguish was a Norwich mayor and philantropist who paid for two residential schools: The boys Bluecoat School in Fishergate (since demolished) and this building, which was for girls, on Hospital Lane, between Hall Road and City Road. After World War II it became the Lakenham Infant School, and in the 1970s, Lakenham First School. It closed in 2007 when the new Lakenham Primary School was opened on City Road.
