After the blizzard January 1978
This is one of two pictures, found recently in the loft, that I took during the winter of 1978 around the village of Denshaw.
After two days of blizzards, with six foot snow drifts in places,
the snow blower had been busy working through the night cutting through the snow drifts
to reopen the main A672 on the moors between Denshaw and junction 22 of the M62.
