Lift bridge over the Dee Basin
Lift bridge over the Dee Basin
This lift bridge is a modern construction as the original Dee Basin was much wider and was surrounded by wharves. The canal still provides a link between the River Dee and the Shropshire Union Canal, although the Dee Lock itself is in the process of restoration.
