TQ3181 : Lord Hatton's Church

London, City of London, Great Britain

Lord Hatton's Church
Lord Hatton's Church
Located on the corner of Cross Street and Hatton Garden, this church was reputedly built to the design of Sir Christopher Wren for Lord Hatton to replace the nearby St. Andrews (Holborn), which was destroyed during the 1666 great fire of London. It became a charity school around 1696 and after being severly damaged by incendiary bombs during the second world war, was converted to offices.
