NJ4341 : Green patch on Norry Hill

Green patch on Norry Hill
Green patch on Norry Hill
There are several of these green patches among the rank dried-out grasses on Norry Hill. I surmise that they are the result of rabbits burrowing down through the heavy glacial till which covers the land, and bringing up sandy material from underneath, allowing other species of vegetation to flourish. However I will be interested to hear of any alternative explanation.
