St. Brides
Located behind Fleet Street, St. Brides is often referred to as the printers and journalists cathedral. The connection stems from the setting up of a printing press in the churchyard around 1500 by Wynkyn de Worde. The building was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and the spire, his tallest at 234ft, is reputed to be the model for the traditional tiered wedding cake.
