Capstan steam engine - Pleasley Colliery
A little steam winch that would have been used during rope changing. Built 1925 by Qualter Hall & Co Ltd, Barnsley. Workable until 1986 and photographed during demolition in the gathering gloom. Security found us and requested we leave shortly after this had been taken.
