View from Lings Hill
The village is Eaton, which straddles two squares, SK7928 and SK7929. The woods on the horizon are Stathern Wood, Plungar Wood and Barkestone Wood, beyond which the land drops down to the Vale of Belvoir. To give an idea of the height differences: I was at 155m, Eaton is, on average, 110m, and the woods on the horizon are 150m. The boundary of this square follows the second hedge down the slope.
