ST0541 : Aerials, Washford Cross

taken 10 years ago, near to Washford, Somerset, Great Britain

Aerials, Washford Cross
Aerials, Washford Cross
The four aerials are, from R to L, two 1933 medium wave arrays for BBC, Virgin and Talk Sport, then a short digital cell phone aerial and finally the Watchet and Washford local UHF tv booster.
The transmitter and aerials are operated by Crown Castle, an American company, following the privatisation of this part of the BBC empire.
The lines crossing from L to R are electricity distribution cables from the nearby sub-station.
