Beech trees in the Churchplace Inclosure, New Forest
These trees are just below Church Place, the site of an old royal hunting lodge which gives its name to the surrounding Inclosure. The mound and traces of the original surrounding ditch and bank survive, but are overgrown with bracken and holly.
