SK4930 : At Red Hill lock

taken 10 years ago, near to Ratcliffe on Soar, Nottinghamshire, Great Britain

At Red Hill lock
At Red Hill lock
The straight cut passes through the lock. This is a flood lock which means that it only needs to be used at specific water levels, in this instance when levels are lower than on this occasion. Beyond is a curve of the river, occupied with moorings, which is in fact only accessible from downstream of the lock.
