The Power of the Wind
The Power of the Wind
Recent gales have been so violent that this pole supporting an anemometer has been blown down and broken in half. There were four guy ropes, but to no avail. It would have been interesting to know what the maximum recorded wind speed was. I am a little surprised that permission was given to site the anemometer on top of the cairn when there is plenty of room for it elsewhere.
