Boundary wall of Storth Wood, Elland
Boundary wall of Storth Wood, Elland
The lower boundary of Storth Wood is a retaining wall at the foot of a steep bank. The land on the left appears from the 6 inch map to be called Tong Royd, ting that at some time long ago ancient woodland was cleared for agriculture. Now there are young trees on both sides of the wall.
