Peacock butterfly spotted on Carnguwch 13th February, 2008
This was the second peacock butterfly I had seen today. The first, on the Middle Eifl, disappeared before I could get the camera out of my pocket. Both were flying around cairns which had been warmed up by the sun. The Peacock butterfly hibernates in lofts and barns usually emerging out from the end of March onwards, and are normally not seen in the mountains 'till, at least, May.
