SO1216 : Pothole entrance

taken 10 years ago, 4 km from Trefil, Blaenau Gwent, Great Britain

Pothole entrance
Pothole entrance
This is near the head of a wide valley with many sinkholes and another small pothole close by. Known caves in this mountain block are horizontal systems and entrances like this are extremely rare. The sinkholes take water but are blocked with soil or rocks or both.
