Kingston House
Kingston House
Originally known as Craigend Park, and for a time Kingston Clinic, this country house has now been subdivided into luxury flats and low-rise blocks of private flats have been built in the grounds. The house was designed by Pilkington & Bell for the tailor William Christie and built 1867-9. Described as 'Ruskian Gothic' in "The Buildings of Scotland: Edinburgh" (ie 'Pevsner').
