Fungus on a Fallen Log
Fungus on a Fallen Log
Not being very knowledgeable on the subject of fungi, I would like to acknowledge help from Penny Mayes, who suggested that this may be Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) and Mike Richardson, who suggests that it is more likely to be Gloeophyllum sepiarium, which is commoner on conifers and in northern latitudes.
