The valley slopes in the afternoon sun, also seen in SX8688 : Head of the Batt's Brook valley, from Doddiscombsleigh Bridleway 3. The wood beyond, if it has a name, may be called Widecombes Copse, which seems to be a generic name for several small woods on the north side of the upper valley.
