A wood that straddles a gridline; the left part is in SX8588. Also a wood that has no name, unless the generic one of "Widecombes Copse", which appears in several places on the 1:1250 map for small woods on these northern slopes of the Batt's Brook valley, applies here. The curious effect is down to late afternoon sunlight striking the upper parts of the trees but not the hillside.
