SO7846 : Lansdowne Crescent

Lansdowne Crescent
Lansdowne Crescent
Rows of terraced houses with steps up to the front door and basements beneath. Many Georgian and Victorian popular residential towns are just like this. In Malvern, however, this is the only example of the typical construction. Lady Foley, who owned much of Malvern, laid down strict planning rules to forbid this kind of construction when she eventually released her land. Houses were to be built on large plots of land with no house overlooking another. All were to be of different design.
