SJ4066 : Chester Royal Infirmary #2

taken 10 years ago, near to Chester, Cheshire, Great Britain

Chester Royal Infirmary #2
Chester Royal Infirmary #2
The former Chester Royal Infirmary building, which faces City Walls Road, is now a prestigious apartment block. The hospital was built in 1761 and was closed in 1993, whereafter the extensive site was sold for housing. The lane on the right is Bedward Row, and apparently the name is not associated with the hospital. The right hand pink gatepost has a benchmark - see SJ4066 : Benchmark on the Infirmary gatepost.
