Terrapin at Ebernoe Car Park
Terrapin at Ebernoe Car Park
This Red-eared Terrapin is one of thousands of former exotic pets in the United Kingdom which were turned loose by their owners when they became unmanageable. This species may live for 30-40 years but is not known to breed in this climate. This specimen has evidently come from one of the nearby ponds but is seen here taking advantage of the fine weather in the church car park.
