NT3250 : Bothy and Blackhope water

taken 16 years ago, 3 km from Dewar, Scottish Borders, Scotland

Bothy and Blackhope water
Bothy and Blackhope water
This small bothy or shooters' refuge sits at the head of the Landrover track. A rough footpath of sorts continues up the valley and intrepid walkers or bikers would eventually make Blackhope Scar. The burn is the headwater of Blackhope Water, a tributary to the Tweed. As always, make sure you have the right clothes and equipment and check the weather forecast before going into the hills.
