SD7380 : Ridge wall below the summit of Whernside

3 km from Chapel-le-Dale, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Ridge wall below the summit of Whernside
Ridge wall below the summit of Whernside
The wall runs beside the recently repaired track from the summit of Whernside over High Pike. The track which forms part of the usual route of Three Peaks Walk turns left (south-east) further on to descend steeply towards Bruntscar Farm and the Hill Inn for those who wish refreshment before tackling Ingleborough. Beyond the turn-off a footpath leads along the wall to West Fell and Twistleton Scars.
