Derrick mechanism near Conwy castle
Derrick mechanism near Conwy castle
The winding mechanism of the hand operated derrick, which is located below Conwy castle. The North Wales rail line runs behind the fence and once there was a rail siding here, which explains the presence of the derrick. See also SH7877 : Detail on the derrick.
