Sheds and water tower at Nantyronen
Sheds and water tower at Nantyronen
The sheds are some of the very few pre-privatisation buildings left on the line. The water tower is used to replenish the steam locomotives prior to the steep climb to Devil's Bridge. It was installed in 1982. Before that, the intermediate locomotive watering point was at Aberffrwd.
