SP0202 : No dogs in parts
near to Cirencester, Gloucestershire, Great Britain

No dogs in parts
I should think not. Identical notices appear at several points around the perimeter of Abbey Grounds in Cirencester, recording the decisions of the council meeting of 8th July 1986 identifying some very specific dog free areas. Being made of metal they have survived (albeit somewhat covered in graffiti) a good deal better than other notices, currently blank, which must have once given useful information about the features to be seen around the grounds. These include a small section of Roman wall.
This particular notice is at the point where a path enters the grounds across a branch of the River Churn from Corinium Gate.
