Mature oak in a field at Hedge Corner, Dilton, New Forest
Looking north into the field at Hedge Corner from the Bronze Age tumulus at SU337015.The barrow itself is not easy to photograph, surrounded by and overgrown with trees, but it is described by Hampshire Treasures as 28m in diameter and 1.6m high with traces of a ditch on the northeast side. The boundary ditch and bank between the field and the heath mutilates the western side of the barrow.
