SS4009 : Waldon valley

taken 10 years ago, near to Thornbury, Devon, Great Britain

Waldon valley
Waldon valley
The river can be seen in the centre to the left of the cattle, glinting as it meanders. The valley here performs a 180 degree turn, entering and leaving to the left (while approaching the camera). (It then turns back to the east to reach SS4009 : Thornbury Mill Bridge in the same square).

The farm on Gratton hill is in SS4010, and SS4010 : Lane below Gratton Cross was taken just this side of the lane junction, Gratton Cross, looking in the reverse direction.
