TL9296 : St Martin's church
near to Thompson, Norfolk, Great Britain

St Martin's church
St Martin's church has an interesting set of Jacobean altar rails and old benches with carved poppy heads. The medieval rood screen is painted white and has been stencilled with green flowers; its shafts are turned like barber's poles. There are college stalls with several carved misericord seats and a sedilia with elaborate decorative carvings in the chancel. There are also fragmentary and very faded wallpaintings. This interesting church is open every day. For more information see: Link
