The crosses are memorials to the owners of Greenholme Mills from 1850. On the left, William Forster (1818-1886) (the same man whose statue is (was?) in Forster Square, Bradford). His home was Wharfeside, built for him in 1850. On the right, William Fison (1820-1900), who lived at the Greenholme mansion, which had been built in 1820 and has been demolished.
