TQ2684 : Chiltern Main Line crossing the West Coast Main Line

Hampstead, Camden, Great Britain

Chiltern Main Line crossing the West Coast Main Line
Chiltern Main Line crossing the West Coast Main Line
The Chiltern Main Line enters a tunnel just north of Marylebone station and stays underground until it reaches a point just south of Finchley Road tube station. That is except this small stretch where the line surfaces to cross the West Coast Main Line on a bridge then heads back underground. This picture was taken close to the northern tunnel porthole and shows the short open air section of line and the south porthole, on the left 2 tunnel portholes of the West Coast Main Line can be seen
