At the south end of Knole Park, Chestnut Walk is a broad, surfaced, ride through woodland. The long distance route "Greensand Way" passes along here. Not surprisingly, there are many Chestnut trees lining this avenue. The avenue had many of the larger trees missing - may victims of the 1987 "Great Storm".
