St Margaret's church - tower
Octagonal top of tower with gargoyles. The base and lower part of the tower date from 1000-1050; the large west window was inserted during the 15th century and the octagonal top was added in the 15th century also. Most of the interior, including the medieval rood screen, has been restored in 1856. The font is Norman and of great interest. It has a square bowl supported by five pillars with Norman caps and the carving is very unusual. St Margaret's church is open every day. For more information see: Link
